1. There are no worms in tequila bottles from Mexico. It is a similar spirit, mescal, that contains the legendary worm. Mescal is distilled from the fermented sap of the agave plant, which also happens to host the gusan rojo worm, which is actually a butterfly larva. When entrepreneur Jacobo Lozano Paez started bottling mescal in the 1950s, he noticed that these worms inevitably ended up in the mix, and gave the liquor a distinctive flavor. Rather than attempt to filter them out, Paez embraced the worm as an ingredient and came up with the marketing gimmick of including a whole worm in each bottle. The worms are now raised on farms solely for this purpose, but they are just worms. While they are perfectly harmless to eat -- if one is so inclined -- they do not have any hallucinogenic or aphrodisiac properties.
2. Drinking alcohol won't heat up your body. A swig of brandy might initially make you feel warmer, but drinking any alcoholic beverage actually lowers your core body temperature. It sends blood to your skin, which will make you feel warm and flushed, but causes you to lose body heat. You could suffer from hypothermia and not even feel it. Alcohol can also cause dehydration and impair your judgment, which can make matters even worse.
3. Men have a higher tolerance for alcohol than women. Due to physiological differences, a woman will absorb up to 30 percent more alcohol into her bloodstream than a man of the same height and weight drinking the same amount of alcohol. Compared to men, women tend to have a higher percentage of body fat, which does not absorb alcohol, and a lower percentage of water, which does -- resulting in a greater concentration of alcohol in the blood. Men also have a greater quantity of an enzyme in their stomachs that breaks down alcohol before it enters the bloodstream. Since women tend to be smaller and lighter than men, they are at an additional disadvantage when it comes to holding their liquor. So, ladies, it's best not to engage in any drinking contests with your male buddies.
4. A beer flood in 1814 killed nine people. On Oct. 17, 1814, a ruptured tank at the Meux and Company Brewery unleashed over 3,500 barrels of beer onto the streets of London, creating a wave of beer that knocked down walls, flooded basements, and demolished houses. Eight people drowned. The ninth died of alcohol poisoning after attempting to stop the flood by drinking the beer.
5. Sucking on a penny or putting it under your tongue will NOT help you pass a Breathalyzer test if you've been drinking. Whoever came up with this idea either had a very weak grasp of science or was playing a joke on someone. There is no truth to the rumor that the copper in a penny will somehow affect the results of a Breathalyzer test. It just doesn't make any cents ...

6. Drinking coffee will NOT sober you up quickly. There are no shortcuts to sobriety. No amount of black coffee, cold showers, exercise, or water will speed up the process. Your body processes alcohol at a constant rate of approximately .015 percent of blood alcohol content per hour, regardless of gender, weight, height, age, etc. Only time will sober you up.

my open letter to senator chiz escudero:
Greetings Senator Chiz Escudero!
I am from Marikina City, I would like to raise a complaint about what happened awhile ago, I was about to take an entrance exam in a local government university, but I wasn't allowed to enter the campus because I was wearing slippers, but those who were in sandals are allowed to enter. There was a short argument at the gate of the campus because many students were not allowed to take the exam because we were not given a formal notice on what or what not to wear on the entrance exam. Instead, we were advised to take the afternoon exam without formal arrangement.
Although it's not my main point, I personally think that there should be law created that would prohibit schools especially government owned to oppress the freedom of the students to wear clothes which they are comfortable of, I don't see any good reasons for schools to set rules like that. In fact it affects us students in our performance because we feel uncomfortable on what we wear and we lose focus on our studies.
We are in the Philippines, many heroes have fought for the freedom of our country and yet our schools that should set good examples in implementing our rights and freedom in this country is rather the one oppressing us from practicing it.
I hope I can hear from you soon about my letter.

naghuhugas ako ng kaldero nun, para makapag saing na ko dahil hapunan na. ang mga magulang ko ay nasa sala kasama ang sanse (pangatlong babae sa pamilya) ko at ang bunsong kapatid ko naman ay naghahanda para sa iihawin.
habang kiniskis ko ng steel wool yung kaldero para matanggal yung mga tigang na kanin na nakadikit, pumasok naman ang bunso kong kapatid at sinabi:
bunso: mie pahiram po ng lighter.
sumagot naman agad ang nanay ko na may kalakasan at walang pagdadalawang isip at sinabi.
momi: si sanko me lighter! naninigarilyo yan eh! sanko pahiram daw ng lighter!
**sanko ang tawag sa akin sa bahay aka pangatlong kuya.
natahimik ako bigla dahil hindi ko alam ang isasagot ko, alam ko na alam ng nanay ko na nagyoyosi ako pero hindi naman ako handa na ipaalam sa tatay ko, natauhan ako ng sumigaw ulit ang nanay ko.
momi: naninigarilyo yan si sanko, me marlboro yan eh!
talaga naman updated sa brand ng yosi ko, ang alam ko pa kasi ang alam niyang yosi ko ay philip morris menthol, pakealamera talaga tong nanay ko at the same time chismosa pa! hahaha! sumigaw ulit ang nanay ko.

nagsimula ang lahat nung magtatake ako ng entrance exam sa pamantasan ng lungsod ng marikina (dahil lilipat na nga ako ng school), medyo maaga kami nakarating sa campus ng kapatid ko kaya nag-stay muna kami sa loob ng kotse dahil wala naman antayan sa labas ng campus. nung time na para magsipasukan ang mga estudyante, hinarang ako ng guard at sinabi na bawal ang tsinelas pero sandals pwede.
aba gago ba sila hindi naman sila nagbigay ng notice sa lahat ng mage-entrance exam na bawal ang rubber slippers, kasama ko yung kapatid ko at siya kumwestiyon kung bakit hindi kami pwede papasukin (marami rin kaming hindi pinapasok dahil nakatsinelas) nang dumating itong matabang babae (itago na lang natin sa pangalang baboy tsina dahil hindi ko na inalam pangalan niya) at sinabi "magte-take kayo ng entrance exam naka-tsinelas kayo? ano akala niyo nasa up kayo?". kung hindi ba naman siya gagong baboy tsina, hindi niya idadahilan yun (de p*tang dahilan yan, ang bobo!). napaka lame ng excuse nila para hindi papasukin ang mga naka tsinelas.
sobrang inis namin tahimik na lang kami ng kapatid ko sa labas ng gate tapos me estudyanteng babae na nagtanong kung anong gagawin naming mga hindi pinapasok, at sumagot ang baboy tsina na "bumalik kayo sa hapon at hanapin ako". lintek siya pahirap sa buhay! umuwi na ako at ang kapatid ko pumasok na sa trabaho.

adik ang nanay ko, sobrang hook na hook na siya sa panonood pinoy big brother (teen edition plus) at syempre damay kami dahil iisa lang ang tv dito sa bahay...
talaga namang memorized ang oras at hindi nakakalimutan kapag nandito siya sa bahay, kapag 12nn pbb special streaming sa studio 23... pagdating naman ng 5:30pm pbb uber naman sa abs-cbn at pagdating ng 9pm primetime naman sa abs-cbn pa rin... hindi naman maka-kapamilya 'tong nanay ko pero ngayon talaga naman ang kaadikan sa sobrang kaadikan inaasar na siya ng tatay ko kasi naman...
kapag naalala niya na oras na ng pbb mapapasigaw siya na "ay! big brother na!" na may kasamang lundag sa kinauupuan at dali-daling pupunta sa harap ng tv para manood... at ang tatay ko naman magrereact "grabe ka naman, aatakihin pa ako sa puso dahil sa big brother"
at kapag nanood siya ng pbb bawal kausapin dahil serious siya sa panonood bukod pa dun sa tuwing me bisita kami at nanonood siya ng pbb, hindi niya mapapalampas kausapin tungkol dito at ang saya niya kapag nakakarelate sa kanya yung kausap niya...

sa wakas nagtagumpay ako! hahaha! akala ko next year na ulit ang aantayin ko.. buti na lang nag-extend ang myoh hanggang may 5... at maraming tao pa naman ang nagmamahal sa kanilang trabaho (hindi kasama ang kapatid ko sa kanila dahil naka leave siya ngayon, hahaha!) konti lang ang tao nung pumunta kami hindi tulad nung friday, pero hindi nauubos yung tao sa loob... steady lang ang crowd
ang pakay ko lang naman talaga ay magkaron ng tsinelas na may philippine flag, simula nung naubos ang stocks na malalaking sizes ng havaianas filipinas, ito na lang ang inasahan ko na makukunan ko ng ganung uri ng tsinelas... at ayun sa awa naman ng diyos, pinagbigyan niya ako sa aking pangarap... hahaha!
grabe mga anak mayaman pala yung mga gumagawa ng tsinelas sa event na to (since first time ko) at english speaking buti na lang kasama ko ang kapatid ko me translator, wahahaha! joke naintindihan ko naman sila kaso dumugo muna ilong ko... PUTANG INA! yun lang ang masasabi ko sa unang araw ng myoh... grabe akala ko naghihirap na ang pilipinas pero bat andaming hayok sa gomang tsinelas? (at kasama ako dun!)
sinamahan ako ng kapatid ko pumunta ng rockwell, kaya lang limited lang ang oras namin dahil me kukunin pa siya sa office niya... pagdating namin ng rockwell tent aba! parang pila sa bigas ng nfa ang haba ng pila ampota... at bago makapasok sa loob ng tent mismo kailangan pa mag-antay ng 2-3 hours... so ayun bigo ako sa unang araw ng myoh dahil limitado lang ang oras namin dahil marami pang gagawin... ampota talaga!
GOOD NEWS:
extended ang myoh up to may 5, monday... nabasa ko lang sa mga tarpaulin ng myoh sa may rockwell, yung mga malilit na nakasabit sa mga poste at medyo maliit yung nakasulat na extended kaya mahirap mapapaniwala kayo kasi dun lang matatagpuan ang announcement ata... XD
